How do you stop a cramp in progress?
Especially a "charlie horse" type of cramp in the upper thigh area. I can get rid of lower calf cramps by stretching the muscle out by pointing your toes...but it's the upper thigh ones that seem hard to stretch out. Massaging doesn't really help much either.

did a quick search to verify, but low magnesium and calcium can cause charlie horse. have you checked out your food to make sure you're getting enough of those? i take magnesium everyday along with drinking almond milk everyday to ensure i get both. i think i've heard charlie horse's can also be cause by not drinking enough water, so make sure you do that as well.
