I have a flu coming on ..

is there something to do - like will, echinacea help? I saw a bottle in the supermarket.

Colloidal silver mixed with red wine and a few drops of lemon.
Lots of water + high dose vitamin C
Zinc + D3

Careful with the colloidal silver...it can change the colour of your skin permanently if you take too much. I think that ginseng is better than echinacea as an immune booster. I empty an energy drink can (cheatah brand) into a water bottle and put it in the fridge and just take a 2 or 3 swallows of it a few times a day.

Cheatah has no caffeine (unlike most other energy drinks) but it has a lot of ginseng in it. It seems to do the trick when I'm coming down with something. And ginseng is the ingredient in the popular cold medicine Cold-FX too. I guess you can pop a few ginseng supplements instead but I think a liquid form of it may be better absorbed than the powder form.

I understand where your concern comes from, good point! Having that said, it's always a must to choose supplements carefully. Choosing a high-quality brand of colloidal silver and following the daily intake guidelines won't cause argyria IMHO.

Hit it from both ends, collodial silver to kill the buggers (which has been mentioned) and liposomal vitamin C, colostrum and a good probiotic to keep your immunity high and engaged.

I also like Herb Pharm's Immune Defense Support: Echinacea root, Astragalus root, Reishi mushroom, Schisandra, Prickly Ash bark.

I've tried a lot of stuff when sick, unfortunately nothing seems to work. I'd rather take antibiotics that are proven effective, than drink colloidal silver. I don't see how ingesting silver (a metal) could be good for your body.

For those who get constantly sick with colds and flus they probably have overactive Th2. Very often this type person will way underrespond to invading viruses. Th1 mode will be the one to completely attack it.

Just by balancing and modulating Th1 you can avoid being sick so often. Here are a few ways anyone could enhance Th1 immunity: aged garlic extract (no better than Kyolic,) collostrum, zinc, silicon, glutathione, mixed vitamin E, IP6, AHCC, astragalus, beta glucan, ginkgo, DHEA, Earth Dragon peptides, coconut and palm oil, low dose naltrexone etc.

What also might help is daily concentrated oxygen or supplementing with H202 or even practicing diaphragmatic breathing.
