Re: Whats working for me
well done on your success. I already use Dr Bonner's peppermint but which emu oil do you use? I might give this a try.

Re: Whats working for me
Hi Valderama,
The label of my emu oil came off, its a large bottle that lasted me a long time. With what I have been doing the skin in the balding areas is no longer shiny and thin looking, it is exactly the same as the skin on my face.

well it was obviously the right choice whichever it was, I believe not all emu oils are equal.

Palcom wrote: The only problem with this is I have sprouted a few grey hairs as a result, Peppermint Oil reduces enzymes which causes a reduction in A5 Reductase but also Catalase which is believed to stave off greying hair. For this reason I will switch to Dr Bronner’s Tea Tree Oil Soap for more regular use and peppermint soap at most once a week. This could change depending on my progress.
One week on Dr Bronner’s peppermint soap...this thing is awesome. But i'm afraid also for grey hair. After how long of use, you notice that side effect?
The tea tree oil soap has the same fresh feeling after applying?

The Dr Bronner tingling doesn't happen for me anymore, hmm.

Re: Whats working for me
I am now just using the tea tree as a leave on shampoo in the bath a few times a week and the peppermint i mix with the emu oild an leave on scalp for half an hour or so. I have also left the emu/pepper mix on overnight a few times.
Just had my hair cut very short, very noticeable improvement since last time it was this length I was afraid that when cut short i would be dissapointed.
After trying so many things in the past you get used to the idea that halting is the best to hope for but to see regrowth/thickening is surreal
PS I noticed quite a few white hairs when i was at the barber but you know what? I dont care

Re: Whats working for me
The Dr. Bronner's is incredible. I've just used it three times and my scalp is so pliable after letting it soak into my scalp for 5-10 minutes. My scalp has never felt this way plus my hair looks so full after I use it. After I use it, my hair has a weird texture but then it goes back to normal. I've been washing only with conditioner since the summer, and my scalp was kind of gross. So glad I learned about using Dr. Bronner's for the scalp. I really don't give a shit if it gives me white hair.

Re: Whats working for me
do you apply it at nigh or in morning blablabla?
Does it just dry once on the scalp and leave your hair looking normal afterwards?

Sometimes I do it at night sometimes in the morning. I just let my hair dry normally and then it's back to normal. It's a lot softer than it used to be and the color is back to normal. I think I had a lot of build-up from just using conditioner.
