Bone Marrow Donation Empty Bone Marrow Donation

I've been wanting to get on the donor list for some time: http://marrow.org/Home.aspx

Seems like a very small thing to contribute to save another person's life. My question is, are there any long term risks associated with your marrow or immune system? Most of what they talk about on the FAQ page is pain and normal risks associated with anesthesia. However, this link went into more depth on other complications:

Didn't strike me as too discouraging. Anyone had any experience or know anyone who's done it?

Besides the stem cell harvesting procedure pain, there is the risk of anesthesia which can dull the memory. Also, scar tissue from surgery can result in a pocket of lingering inflammation. It can also disrupt neuro feedback systems.
