Boar brush

Just started using this. It is a medium grade brush. I have only used it for the past 2 days and I had a a lot of dandruff come off. My scalp also has developed sore spots similar to using an anti fungal like seabuckthorn oil. Is this expected when you first start using it? I have started incorporating this into the "blood flow" aspect of my regimen. Thanks
