Boar Bristle Brush
Hey I recently bought a brush so I can comb my thinning hair....lol. It is a board bristle and it is mixed with Nylon Tufts...thing is the brush is pretty hard and I am afraid it might pull a lot of my thing hair off....I used it once, but I didn't notice a lot of hair on the brush.....but overtime it will probably get softer right and do you think it is ok or do you have any other recommondations?

Re: Boar Bristle Brush
I bought a Boar Bristle brush from Target, I think it was 100% boar, no nylon. It has not gotten any softer in the 3-4 months I've had it, and I think that it does pull out the hairs that were going to shed anyway. I didn't notice an uptick in shedding or anything like that, and I do use it once or twice daily.
I use it after applying oils to spread them along the whole shaft of the hair, plus it seems to be the only brush that can tame they crazy way my hair grows versus a regular comb with hard teeth, I haven't tried a brush with plastic bristles or anything, but my hair is usually <1" long depending on when I clip it down.

Re: Boar Bristle Brush
A boar bristle brush is a great tool against hair loss. I use it post-shower...comb my hair back (with a comb) first, and then use the brush firmly on my scalp in the direction that I combed. I get my skin real red with it, feels great! Hairs that it takes out are junk hairs that are stuck in your hair or about to fall out anyway. Over time, it should help to open up the follicles a bit, possibly giving thicker hair and regrowth.

I use a Boar Bristle Brush, it's great for removing broken hair and spreads sebum evenly over the scalp.
