Antibiotics

Hi guys, I've just been prescribed antibiotics (Erythromycin) for an ingrown/infected toe and I'm supposed to take them for a week before I see the chiropodist. While it will be a relief to get the toe dealt with I'm not keen on the antibiotics part of the deal after all I've read about them on this site and elsewhere. I've already tried topical iodine and colloidal silver, they help but I've had the problem a while and I'm pretty sure it won't heal 100% without proper treatment. Has anyone here got experience with the procedure, can I get away with not taking them and if so what are the best alternatives in this situation (vitamin C/garlic/cs/iodine?). Thanks.

Earthing - yes, should be a mat arriving today. Will look into others. Also discussed it with someone at work, you can get this done even with infection, just makes it easier/less painful. Bottom line, I won't be taking the pharmaceuticals. Thanks guys.
