What are the sides with applying minoxidil topically?
It ruins the skin. I got undereye bags, dark circles and red eyes. Dont know if it was from minox or alcohol which is also in topical, but suggest big ''don't do it'' for anybody although it regrows some hair... Putting it on your hair is a big lie to yourself. You cant clean all the mess in your body under the minox carpet.
Mastery - do you have a good source of mink oil you suggest? I am running out my EMU oil and am willing to make a switch to mink one. I kind of like trying new healthy things- everyone is unique in some way:)...

Re: RejuvePlex Testimonial
So, all these amazing ingredients, ones which I've been studying for years (apply polys) and no regrowth! Guess I now know apply polys don't do shit.
Also what does this say about studies that claim all this shit does so and so, with 94% thicker hair etc, yet nobody ever sees a damn thing? Can we even trust studies anymore?!

Apple polys will not give regrowth. There is an ingredient that will be added to RejuvePlex specifically for regrowth that's pretty much brand new--AnaGain (google around for information on it). That will be in the next batch at a strong percentage. Apple polys are for prolonging the anagen phase, ie. - reducing hair fall out.

Oh, thank you for clarifying that. I'll look up AnaGain.
When MTF men take hormones (estrogen) and get on an ant-androgen, and even some normal guys on Fin, they can experience regrowth simply from stopping MPB, so surely if any of this other stuff was helpful, one could also experience regrowth, but it seems the ingredients currently in rejuveplex either do not work or are at too small of dosages.

Is this the stuff Nid?
http://www.mibellebiochemistry.com/products/hair/AnaGain.php
"AnaGain™, which is based on organic pea sprouts, has proven to clearly reactivate hair growth by directly targeting the dermal papilla cells that are key to the hair growth cycle. Thanks to its double action, AnaGain™ successfully boosts the expression of the noggin gene, which results in a shorter resting period and it also enhances the expression of the fibroblast growth factor-7 gene. This in turn stimulates the proliferation of hair germ cells to trigger the anagen growth phase.
In a clinical study AnaGain™ increased the hair growth coefficient (proportion of active hair follicles to degenerating ones) from 4 to 7.2 indicating a strong hair-regrowing effect. AnaGain™ is thus a clinically proven solution ensuring fuller and thicker hair."

Yes! That's it.

We do not skimp on percentages for any of the ingredients in RejuvePlex. For example, if it's suggested to use .5% to 2.5% of a particular active, we use 2.0-2.5%. The stuff works, but it depends on what you're looking for really. If you want to clear up inflammation, skin condition (seems to work well for psoriasis), and create a better environment for hair growth, then RejuvePlex can help with that. I can say that safely, because I've gotten a ton of positive feedback on it over the last year, along with many repeat buys on it. But, it's not going to be the ultimate solution to hair loss...such a thing is a combination of a good diet, good supplementation, good topical, and laser therapy. It's a holistic solution, just like there are no band-aid fixes for heart disease or cancer treatment.
That's my take on it. Meanwhile, we're always looking for ways to further improve the formula, and AnaGain is the next addition.
*edit*
Also, yes--people can experience regrowth from Fin. However, it's not absolute regrowth, it's just partial...ie. - you still are clearly balding. Plus, you're destroying your endocrine system; far more important than your hair. Fin is a good example of a band-aid fix, and certainly isn't a permanent one.

Re: RejuvePlex Testimonial
Nid,
So, I've used just a single bottle of Rejuveplex in the past before. I liked the way it applied and absorbed, but only used one bottle and then life got in the way and I just dropped the whole supplement/topical approach. Now that I've got a good job and laser helmet from OMG, I'm going to ramp up the supplements and topical approach again for 18 months (consistently) and evaluate how much hair loss is worth fighting any longer.
My question:
The topicals I am considering are either Rejuveplex or Super Zix II. I am leaning towards Super Zix because it is largely an anti-androgen approach, which I think would really be most beneficial to my situation. What exactly in the Rejuv. formula, if anything, is an anti-androgen and how potent/absorbent do you feel it is? I would use both Rejuv. and Zix but Joe mentions that his users notice the greatest benefit from using Zix formulas only and not in combination with anything else..
Thanks!

Did Joe indicate why this would be the case? I would think Super Zix and Rejuvaplex would be a good one two punch. Maybe use Super Zix in the morning and Rejuvaplex in the evening?
Super Zix is pretty cheap so I think it's definitely worth trying.

Yes hair loss take multiple methods integrated with understanding of the causations.Mastery wrote:Exactly.j87x wrote:It's pretty naive to think that one topical is going to regrow hair. It's meant to stop micro-inflammation, getting the rest of the culprits under control is up to you.goten574 wrote:This has been out for a while now, no reports of regrowth? I've used 3 bottles now and no regrowth
For example, I think mink oil is a big help, but unless systemic inflammation, nutrition and micro detoxification is under control you are dreaming.
Your scalp is depleted(thinned) and bone growth expanded. Just putting a topical on your head isnt going to solve it from a mechanical sense, it will just cool it down a little. You dont even know if the ingredients are being fully absorbed at necessary level by just applying it on top... For someone who still has their hair, rejuveplex w/ copper peptides will help maintain their hair though.
