I think that they're mostly crap...bunch of unhealthy calories. Losing all that weight could be your body's way of saying hey, this is the weight that you should be! If you want to pack some weight on, do strict form squats all the way down to your heels. Don't throw on absurd amounts of weight, just start with 135-145, 8 seconds down, 8 seconds up, and gradually work the weight up.

I'm in the same boat. Eat more potatoes and oatmeal. Def stick with your diet but I got sick skinny on a fruit carb diet. Was heavy on veggies n protein. Very low starch. Since eatingpotatoes again I feel 100xbetter

Jackorama, I initially lost tons of weight when I cut out grains, sugar, and other processed foods. And I was lean to begin with, so I was definitely underweight. I would eat a decent amount of starch via potatoes, sweet potatoes, winter squash, pumpkin, etc. Also if you can handle it, raw dairy is a great way to get in calories.
Also look into Wendler's 5,3,1 program. It focuses on squats, deadllifts, standing shoulder press, and incline bench all movements that help promote serious growth and strength. Weight lifting was essential for myself, without I could not eat enough to really put on weight.

Carbohydrates......carbohydrates and more carbohydrates. And sugar in milk for igf-1 boost. Would also recommend Colustrum if your going the route to gain muscle weight as opposed to overall bulk or fat. Also make sure your adrenals and thyroid are straight. Imbalances can cause an unhealthy swift drop in weight, which will also hit your hair.
