Losing Weight Empty Losing Weight

Last night I was watching that show the biggest loser and at the end they were weighing people in and a lot of them had lost from 10 to like 20 pounds in a week. Today I was reading a Men's Health fat loss book and it said that a pound a week is the healthiest to lose. So my question is how much can I lose a week and still be healthy?

chapat - Usually when large amounts of weight are lost, such as 20 pounds in a week they are very big to begin with. If they weight like 400 or 500 pounds then they can drop this kind of weight.

A high intensity, interval training can promote a very rapid fat loss that is generally healthy.

I've dropped over 70 pounds in 6 months with high intensity interval training, weight lifting and watching my diet. That's a little over 10 pounds a month which was just about right for me.

Don't be afraid if you loose more then 1 pound a week during the initial period since the closer you come to your goal the harder it will be to loose weight.
