best way to sterilize mouth guard? best mouthwash?

i started again using that very pleasing hydrogen peroxide mouthwash. and leaving my mouth guard immersed in the same mouth wash all day long (while i am not sleeping).

now, after two or three days, my tongue has turned brown again...

something horrific came to my mind... a lady who used to sterilize her dermaroller with hydrogen peroxide and who got a horrible infection from it...

but then, regarding my brown tongue, what would be the best way of mouth washing? is there something absolutely full spectrum that doesn't give any advantage to any bacterial strain and doesn't induce resistance?

can I add Lugol's and Oil of Oregano to my mouthwash?

also i have 3 amalgams, and i remember CS was saying one shouldn't be doing any oil pulling if he has amalgams (why?)...

sorry i am a bit anxious because my teeth are getting *visibly* worse and worse no matter how much i watch my diet, supplement with all the good fat soluble vitamins and calcium/strontium, brush, floss and mouth wash :'(

I'd brush my tongue if it were brown......and skip the steralizing part, bacteria in the mouth are essential! For cleaning your instruments hydrogen peroxide is good but the right dilution and duration.....

By the way, no wonder your mouth looks bad after eating 30 bananas a day

Brushing and rinsing with salt is the best mouthwash, yes better and more effective than hydrogen peroxide. Part of that has to do with its interaction with mercury.

I never stated (to my memory) about any problem with oil pulling and amalgam.

Oil pulling works best using sesame seed oil

I use Peri-Gum mouthwash
