It's just.. so... WEIRD! I mean I do think AGA is androgens as the name implies and I have had a marked increase in body hair since all this started, but... I just find it so strange that basically my number 1 suspect within my body is Candida (fungus) and the only observable problem I can see on my scalp is dandruff (fungus). And some of the most effective hair loss treatments are antifungals (e.g. ketoconazole and miconazole - does anyone know why?).

So yeah, I've decided to try using my Candida regimen or a good portion of it topically as well. Colloidal silver, GSE, things like that, regularly and possibly with something like DMSO to help them go in further.

What do you guys think about this? I've heard a success story involving colloidal silver before.

Let's see if it helps, or just nukes my dandruff like GSE in shampoo does!

Ketoconazole & Miconazole are Androgen receptor agonists... Thats why they helps SOME get MODEST regrowth... Studies show that those particularly along with Pyliterone Zinc (or w.e. it is) helps keeps the hair in Anagen Phase longer. You would have to PubMed the study. But they dont work by virtue of killing any bacteria/fungus on the head. They do if you have fungus based dandruff but from a hairloss standpoint its simply on its mechanism to compete for the AR

I don't think Candida is the only cause for MPB / hormonal imbalance, but I think it's possibly the most common one

I think candida goes hand in hand with intestinal permeability but I dont think its the cause... Its LPS that usually damages the integrity of the intestinal barrier...

I have never been tested for candid unfortunately but went on a 5% carb diet for 2 weeks str8... It was agony and Im sure that killed it off!

Oh yeah I know it was very low and I did alot of research since then! I did however fix my insulin resistance... Now I follow paleo dieting mostly... My blood sugar/insulin is great!

Anyway erm, I do think Candida is a significant enemy personally. And... so is LPS a product of dysbiosis?

I mean, I often see dysbiosis and candida as being very closely related, as they're usually symptoms of the same stuff (antibiotics, bad diet, stress, etc) and can have similar effects on the body.

I think giving attention to gut flora balance (or imbalance) and the gut wall, as well as liver health, is very important
