Post Workout Sugar Empty Post Workout Sugar

Post  mikeymike Mon Feb 21, 2011 4:24 am

Hi all,

I'm tall/lean guy, working out since 4-5 years, looking to bulk up.
To gain mass, I used to take some maltodextrin/dextrose and whey in my post workout shake.

Following the IH regimen since 6 months, I have changed lots of things in my diet and my lifestyle.
Thing is, I wonder what to do with the sugar I take post workout (malto/dextrose) ...
It's supposed to create the insulin spike which will contribute (with whey) to the muscle building.
Can I stick with malto/dextrose ? Is It bad for my hair ?
If yes, what kind of alternatives do I have to refill my energy stores ... (fruits ?)

Thanks a lot,

Mike

Lots of people take 'waxy maize' post workout ...

As it is derived from starch, can it be healthier for hair than dextrose or maltodextrin ?

Thank you
