Kombucha and gut health (LittleFighter?)

How much of a benefit does kombucha have on the gut?
Will it be beneficial in treating leaky gut? I enjoy drinking it but don't want to sidetrack fixing my gut with something that might cause issues while having the problem. I would THINK it'd be only beneficial, but I seem to be reacting badly to kefir so...

What are you making your kefir out of?
How does your kefir taste?
I recommend drinking Kombucha on an empty stomach as soon as you wake up. Should help your gut if anything.

I buy it from Whole Foods... GT's Raw Kombucha. They had some problems with the FDA recently because the alcohol % was much higher than what it was said to be (.5% or less). I would think it would help too, but I want to make sure everyone agrees. Empty stomach only though huh?

whoa that stuff is expensive ever consider growing your own kombucha it'd be a lot cheaper? I'm wondering why on an empty gut too I guess stuff gets absorbed better and quicker?
