Feeling/pressure in my frontal scalp!
Hi,
I came upon this page... http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyperventilation
What interested me was the third paragraph which I will paste:
"Counterintuitively, such effects are not precipitated by the sufferer's lack of oxygen or air. Rather, the hyperventilation itself reduces the carbon dioxide concentration of the blood to below its normal level because one is expiring more carbon dioxide than being produced in the body, thereby raising the blood's pH value (making it more alkaline), initiating constriction of the blood vessels which supply the brain, and preventing the transport of oxygen and other molecules necessary for the function of the nervous system."
I am not saying balding has anything to do with hyperventilation but I DID notice that during my normal breathing, my inhale was much shorter than my exhale. So I decided to do an experiment... 1) Inhale normally 2) hold breath for 2-3sec 3) exhale normally.
While doing this, I could feel slight pressure near my temples and my frontal scalp which I thought was very interesting because I could never feel those parts, even when I am at a state of euphoria.
Anyone researched the role of O2, CO2 in hair loss?
