Iodine and shed

Hi guys
I have been taking 1 drop of Iosol daily for 4 days. Day 1 and 2 I had shoulder-pain which I - according to CS - blame on the detoxification. Day 3 and 4 my hair has been shedding more than usual, which has freaked me out a bit. I have stopped taking the iodine, and today (day 5) I have had a glass of warm water with salt in it (½ tea-spoon). How long do I have to keep this up, and how often do I have to do this?
I don't plan on going back on the iodine for some time.
