question for CS and anyone?
I decided to add beta sisterol to the IH regimen...120mg per day. I was on it for a few weeks and it totally killed my sex drive and morning erections! I went off of it and its been a few weeks now but the side effects have not gone away. Anything I can do to get my morning woods back? does it stay in my system even after I stop it?

Re: question for CS and anyone?
Before discovering this forum, I'd started using natural DHT blockers including Beta S. I also tried nettle root, pygeum, fermented soy supplements+miso and pumpkin seed oil. I tried this regimen for about 6 weeks and I found the side effects intolerable. Well, when you're most important 'tool' starts to 'malfunction' it majorly affects your whole being IMO. And having watery sperm of insubstantial quantity and 'FORCE', with no sex drive (unless forced) made life not so good. I also noticed at the time that I would occasionally feel low, and I have never ever had such strong negative feelings before.......sounding a lot like FINASTERIDE sides! My digestion was also terrible.
I then promptly ditched the DHT blockers and started using the advice posted here (it's only been 6 months or so). Sex drive is back to normal (no it's actually better than normal, but I try not to have many emissions) and I think my hair is starting to get stronger. As an experiment and to use up my old stock, I decided to re-start all of the DHT blockers named above. I suddenly felt low again and then decided to ditch the remaining supplements. My personal advice would be not to use Beta S. Having morning erections and a sustained sex drive is too important.
Has anybody else here experienced these effects with natural DHT blockers?

Re: question for CS and anyone?
2tuff007 - MAO's answer is the quintessential reason why I believe natural DHT blockers are not a good idea.
I had all the negative results just like MAO when I used various doses of Beta Sitosterol for a long period of time.
I was taking doses as high as 900 milligrams three times daily. The problem is that it absorbs too much cholesterol from the gut, and without enough cholesterol, the body cannot make sufficient steroid hormones, which includes all the metabolites and neuroprotective steroids as well.
One thing that can get the sex drive back into gear is to take 3 to 4 grams (you can take this in divided doses if you like) of acetyl L-carnitine and a decent amount of lipoic acid. If it's alpha lipoic acid, then use 300 mg to 600 mg per 1,000 mg of ALC. If it's stabilized R-lipoic acid, then you can take 100 mg per 1,000 mg of ALC.
