Magnesium apply to hair
Ive started using magnascent iodine twice per day and Mag oil on my armpits and my hair when in the shower. Is it normal that it has a heated feelin for a couple of seconds then stops when you apply to your hair? What are the benefits of spraying magnesium in your hair?

Re: Magnesium apply to hair
youngbalder - The heat your are feeling is a good sign that your magnesium pump is working fine. This is perfectly normal and something you want.
Magnesium oil can help over come a magnesium deficiency much quicker than oral use alone. Also magnesium oil can help diffuse calcification, which is associated with various nanobacteria, fungi or metals, which magnesium helps to reduce.
Positively affecting the ATP which magnesium does can help fuel hair growth as well.

Dont want to jump the gun but i also feel mag oil is helping with my dandruff. Are there any facts that magnesium can help reduce flaky hair?

youngbalder - Magnesium oil is uncharted territory as far as any research, but I wouldn't doubt the in the least that it is making a positive impact.
Re: Magnesium apply to hair
Hey guys
Heve been using Swanson´s magnesium oil http://www.swansonvitamins.com/SWU496/ItemDetail?n= for few days.
The problem is that almost nothing is absorbed in my skin.
The only result is oily hair, white powder on my skin and flaky (magnesium flakes) scalp.
I can´t feel any heat when I´m applying it.
Does anybody have the problem?
I´ m a bit down about it..

tommmash,
try to rub the magnesium - after spraying - onto your scalp with a small brush.

I am having a similar experience, I feel like it's not absorbing. The only time I felt any burn is when I accidentally got some on a part of my face where I recently shaved, then I felt a pretty big burn, but I think thats to be expected.

Re: Magnesium apply to hair
it is not uncommon to feel nothing from Magnesium - if you read other posts on it, you can find it being reported earlier as well. I am also one of them - never felt any sensation from Mg oil. And I have tried a few kinds. It works - but no sensation...

Re: Magnesium apply to hair
as lund said - no heat feeling on my side. But definitly works !
I use Nigari. check that one on other threads before ordering your expensive magoil that has nothing more than that natural product. We can always argue for the heavy metal, because it comes from the sea. And i really pay atention to that, therfore there's a heavy metal control for the nigari's product.
I make my Magoil in 15 seconds, and i have one liter for 0,15 dollar.

it's the easiest thing to do you drop some nigari into water and than put it on your head - it's absorbed really well. I think when someone wants to apply it on the scalp nigari is a better option than mag oil
europe -
possibly we buy the same nigari (mine is from naturalia shop) - i do not put it on my head anymore but drink it after my workout. But after i open the plastig bag it turns into sort of liquid within a couple of weeks - not a big problem since it's so cheap but still i wonder if it happens to everyone? (i store it in the kitchen so maybe the steam from boiling water might be the problem)

Re: Magnesium apply to hair
Prague - Yeah, cristals of magnesium are very sensitive to H20.
The idea for preservation is to put the nigari in an airtight bag (zip) when your bag is opened, or you put a rubber band around the original bag ( that same bag you can also put in an old washed jam pot )
Nethertheless, that does not alter the efficacity of the magoil if the cristal are a bit hydrated.
I also buy the nigari in a 1 kg bag when i'm at home.
100 gr bag : 1,22 euros
1 kg : 4,60 euros
That is also a business. But nothing compare to Magoil !
Brand : Celnat
By the way, you really should put on your head again from time to time, before showering !
It's like bathing in the sea ! That is how i see (sea) it !

Re: Magnesium apply to hair
I stick with PureMagOil.com as it's free of heavy metals, and about as pure as it gets (from the Pacific Ocean). I always get the heating sensation. I apply it by dumping some on my head after rinsing my shampoo out in the shower, and massaging in well with my hands. Heating sensation wherever it lands...face, scalp, eyes (close your eyes!), etc.
WARNING: If you have even a mild sunburn, do not use Mag. Oil. It'll greatly exacerbate the burn.

Nid--I think you mean that it will greatly exacerbate the SENSATION of the burn. Personally, I have found that using it on a sun burn is very healing, better than aloe. It will burn anywhere it hits damaged skin. The burn subsides when the skin is healed. It's great to use after shaving for quick skin repair.
Others--Regarding Swansons Mag oil. The first jug I got delivered the heat sensation without fail everytime. The second jug, no. What is clear to me is the second jug is not as strong as the first. It is still good though, just not as strong. Swansons mag oil is sourced from the Zechstein seabed like Pure Mag Oil. But they are sourced by different comapanies. My guess is that Pure Mag oil is superior, but it is more than 3x the price.

Re: Magnesium apply to hair
Thanks for the update on the Swanson's. I just purchased a small bottle to test it against the Pure Mag Oil brand. I'll let you know if I think they are the same potency.
