Re: Red Meat and Alzhiemer's link?
zanza - Alzheimer's is a consequence of poor blood sugar metabolism. Red meat is not a causative link because studies showing epidemiological 'evidence' only determine an association with higher intake. Usually those who eat read meat are not health conscious, because red meat has been demonized for so long.
In other words, most who eat red meat also eat a lot of processed food. Red meat from grass-fed sources is protective not detrimental.
These are the kinds of studies that create a lot of confusion, so would throw it out with a grain of bromide salt.

Most of those webformation literature seem to be basing their discussion around on one study. The messages is not the elimination of red meat but reducing the amount you eat and increasing your vegetable, fish, nuts and chicken.
