dht question Empty dht question

when taking dht blockers for eg saw palmetto, do you think it is best to gradually up the dose?

and ive read the effects of reducing dht by using saw pametto wear off over time, this is because of the body balancing itself out, is this true?

when i first took saw palmetto i noticed within 2 weeks my hair felt much more stronger by the roots and anchored to the scalp and probably lost 2/3 hairs per day, but looking back i cant remeber if the effcets wore off? as i was on and off on different types of hair loss meds?

does anyone else have experience with saw palmetto?
i am thinking of starting inneov capsules which contain 100mg phytosterols in each capsule, these are known to inhibit the 5ar enzyme, i have recently just recovered from what i think was reflex hyperandrogenicty and dont want to start this process over again, i was thinking maybe if i start off with 1 capsule a day this may not have an adverse affect?

You may want to try epilobium as an alternative.

just did a quick read on it, it seems like fin/saw palmetto without the side effects?

i was thinking of a more mild dht inhibitor which would just slightly reduce dht, i really dont want to experience another shed right now, my hair has finally stopped shedding, last 2 weeks, im thinking if i slowly introduce a mild dht inhibotor this may help.

have you tried epilobium?

I'm using it. Haven't experienced anything in the way of sides from it.

dht question Empty Saw Palmetto

Post  Guest Sun Jun 13, 2010 4:57 am

I read a couple of articles pertaining to Saw Palmetto lowering libido, but it was more or less just theoretical talk, considering the trial(s?) regarding Saw Palmetto in question was so small. I used Saw Palmetto at a moderate dosage daily for a couple of months, I personally had zero side effects and really very little if any relief from it.

are you using saw pal or the epilobium?

when i was using saw pal i noticed sides, but only minor lower libido. i wasnt consistent enough but within 3/4 weeks i saw a thick terminal hair grow right below my hairline/forehead on the right side and had alsmost no loss, was losing next to nothing but i wasnt consistent enough with it.

im not sure i should go back on it? looking back it did defineteley helped but i think the effects will wear off over time,as the body upregulates or something?? if this is the case i will not be going back on it, just wanted to hear other people experiences with it.

I'm using epilobium, which is good for prostate might not be enough to improve hair. Saw palmetto causes sides in many. I got sides from it at megadose levels way back when. No hair benefits in my case.
