Hair Follicle Damage Empty Hair Follicle Damage

Post  OldObsoleteDog Sat May 29, 2010 1:26 pm

Today i got into a mean street fight.
As a result a guy pulled off a fist full of hair
from my scalp :/
i took a shower and collected the hair and was
a rough estimate of at least 900 to 1000 hairs.
I understand hair can regrow. But how long would
it take? Is there anything i could do to aid the
healing process.
Please help anyone

I would imagine that taking at least 200 mg
of iodine and maybe emu would help this
wouldnt it ?

If it grows back, it could take a year. (According to Balding Blog.) If the area was already thinning, complete regrowth is unlikely. Yeah, bad news. You probably should use an antiseptic, to prevent infection (and subsequent hair loss). Going to a dermatologist would be ideal. Biotin and MSM supposedly make hair grow faster.

I would just soothe the area thoroughly with something like aloe vera, emu oil or coconut oil, and then you could always in time try some kind of growth stimulant like Spectral RS to kick the follicles back into life.. not just yet though as they're probably still recovering!

Sucks though, I'm sorry to hear about that ._.

Oh, and I personally think these are great:

Many people have reported significantly faster growth with them, they seem quite well balanced Smile

I thought that emu oil would help.
But people usually have hair ripped out and
still experience regrowth. (Of course over time)
I was already taking msm and huge amounts of
iodine. and my hair loss decreased from a 120 hair
shed to just 15 to 20 :]
sadly enough the part of hair the guy pulled out was
hair that was thinning :/
when i took a shower i collected them all and counted.
most of the hairs that were removed were pretty rooted.
(As in the root was still on the hair) Would that mean
anything as far as follicle damage?
and thank you all for your sympathy :]
I appreciate the help really

I think a high iodine dosage is essential to
hair regrowth. Although i havent exceeded the
dosage of 30 mg daily my hair loss has nearly
halted. Meaning my hair loss was due to a thyroid problem.
Isnt iodine used by other organs as well. Meaning
skin and organs after a while of a surplus of iodine may start
to borrow from this. And Hoppipolla how long should i
wait before i start applying the spectral RS?
To me although it was roughly around a 1000 hairs in one pull
it wasnt as nearly as devastating as when i would shed the 120
daily and see my hair line receded slowly month after month.
So to me it was like a week and a half of that shed just passed.
(or so i tell myself) lol
