Some encouragement for those like me trying to cut down on their sugar intake
Look at this!!
http://www.sugarstacks.com/
The maddest bit is the fruits! I had no idea! http://www.sugarstacks.com/fruits.htm
It really hit it home to me, because I do go through fruit so fast, and I'm also trying to cut down on my sugar intake but finding it hard. If you actually see the raw sugar in front of you, it makes it easier to cut down I think!
But yeah, that's that!
What do you think of that site, I just stumbled upon it on Google
Hoppi!

Hoppipolla - Great site!
One thing that works great if you're craving sugar is to use xylitol. It has virtually no impact on blood sugar at all, and you can make all kinds of desserts with it with zero negative effects on skin.
Just keep in mind that for the first 2-weeks it will produce a lot of trips to the bathroom, but still it's nice to eat 'real' food when you want.

Fruit sugar is different and not as bad as refined sugar, correct me if i'm wrong...although you still need to make sure you don't eat too much fruit.
My step dad came bang from an appointment with the dietician from the NHS yesterday, I went through what she had written and she said a few things that were incorrect, like eat as much fruit as you want! He suffers from sleep apnoea, and has one of those machines you mention in your daily topic cs, won't listen to a word I say though about trying herbs etc and generally takes the piss out of me for taking supplements.

Man I couldn't BELIEVE how nice Xylitol tastes! I bought some at the supermarket today and I really like it! Very useful as well that it's good for teeth, so I could use it (in a mouthwash) as well as the baking soda (and tooth soap) I bought in place of toothpaste!
Oh, sorry as a random extra question, I have discovered that Tahini with xylitol tastes JUST like peanut butter! At least to me! Is this a hair-friendly alternative? I mean I know perhaps it isn't good to consume tahini in massive quantities ._. It's just I was considering making hummus so I had some lying around!
Oo not long and I'll have my hair-friendly peanut butter and jam sandwich!
(sorry, this is Hoppi in a good mood lol ._. )

Someone posted a link to the Primal Blueprint way of eating/living, I'm still trying to convert fully. I still eat a bit of fruit but I think dark chocolate (at least 70% cacao) is also considered a reasonable occasional treat. Been 10 days and only had one bar with some coconut oil - was a bit like a healthier Bounty.
