Crown thinning advise
Hi all,
I've been fighting my hair loss using plenty of the great advise here for a year. I'm seeing improvements on the condition of my hair and the shedding seems under control.
Basically, I've been taking multivitamins and sticking to a healthy (gluten-free) diet for a year. I also started the papain mix about two months ago.
However, after all this time, my crown doesn't seem to progress in any way. I wonder if the papain mix Prague and others follows works in that area as well.
I read a few times thickening in the crown is easier than on the front but I don't know what's the best way to achieve that.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Many thanks.

Re: Crown thinning advise
I'd give magnesium oil a try. It seems to absorb pretty easily into the scalp. I have crown issues too and this has seemed to help. I basically spray it on and rub it in as best as possible first thing in the morning, do some things to get ready, and then 20-30 mins later shower and rinse it off. I used to apply it at night and go to bed, but it made a mess on my pillow. It will definitely take time to see results though-- a few months at least.

Re: Crown thinning advise
Thanks johnt, I will give the magnesium oil a try too.
You said you keep it on your scalp for about half an hour. Do you think it would be of any benefit to keep it longer than that?
Has anybody else in the forum tried this?
Cheers,

Re: Crown thinning advise
I know some people have said they keep it on longer. I just don't have a regular time of day when that's feasible - it does leave a greasy texture to the hair and scalp so doesn't look the best if you're attempting to style it. Bedtime was about the only time I had a larger block to leave it in but caused the issue I mentioned above. From what I know it tends to absorb pretty rapidly so I feel 30 mins is probably sufficient. One other thing I often do is spray a bunch of it in a warm bath to let it soak through the skin when I have time to do that - usually with epsom salts.
