Whey-80 Isolate
IH/CS recommends Whey-80 Isolate if Im not wrong - why?
Since I've dropped drinking milk I fear the day when I mix it powder with WATER...
What can I do to make it taste better? I don't have time to prepare a 10-minute special drink to mix it into..

Well, definitely stay away from Aspartame. You'd be surprised how much shit this is in...I was thirsty in Wal-Mart and grabbed a Lipton White Tea, looked at the label, and sure enough...Aspartame. Put that right back in the fridge.
Are you referring to NutraBio.com? They have a no flavoring option.

Re: Whey-80 Isolate
Nutrabio's flavored Whey Isolate has Sucralose. I'm not sure what the consensus is on that, but their flavors are very good. I get the chocolate and the orange and I love them. I've also bought the unflavored, but you end up having to mix it with juice or something to give it enough flavor to get it down. What I do is I mix 1 scoop of unflavored in with 1 scoop of the flavored and it seems to work nice.
Their products are very good (thanks Nidhogge) but their shipping and customer service suck. I waited over 4 weeks to get my order filled and had to write and call several times to customer service just to find out whether or not it had shipped. They kept promising me it was going out the next day and never did. This went on for weeks.
I suggest calling them to place the order if you use them and ask them directly if they have the product in stock when you order. If they don't, don't believe them when they say they are shipping it out in the next couple of days. "Next couple of days" in Nutrabio speak is next couple of weeks.
They are probably one of cheapest suppliers of Whey Isolate out there and they make a great product, so buy more than you need so you won't have the shipping/delivery frustrations I've encountered.

Re: Whey-80 Isolate
Why not use almond or oat milk instead of water?

Epdaman--
That is what I'm referring to bud, yep.
Hadrion--
Ya dude, HORRIBLE delivery...I should place my order soon despite having over a month's supply left...lol.
Scotty--
Great idea on the Oat/Almond Milk, though with their flavoring, water works quite well for me.

Re: Whey-80 Isolate
check out the contents of one I have available locally:
pr serving (35g) pr 100g
Protein 31,0 g 91,0 g
Carbs 0,6 g 1,5 g
Fat 0,35 g 1,0 g
Ingredients: PF Whey Isolate: Myseproteinisolat (adds di-, tri-, oligo- and polypeptids), with natural proteinfractions (alpha lactalbumin 20 %, beta laktoglobulin 45 %, bovine serum albumin 5 %, imunoglobulins 10 %, proteose-peptoner 20 %) total (95 % dry matter). This includes all natural mysofractions; laktoferin (1 %), glykomakropeptids (2 %) immunglobulins(3-4%) Laktoperoxidas(<1%). Aroma, emulgator (soyalecitin), citric acid , coloring (Paprikaextract), sweetener (acesulfame-k), sweetener (sucralose).
Does this look quite similar(safe) or am i basically forced to order overseas?
Really dont know anything about this whey protein stuff, I'd like to gain weight, cant eat anything these days because of this new diet
thanks guys

Re: Whey-80 Isolate
Why do we want ISOLATE instead of CONCENTRATE?
And why Nutrabio? I want to find another brand with similar qualities, any suggestions? What do I want to avoid?

First off, no one is telling you to buy Nutrabio, in fact I think I did a pretty good anti-sales pitch for them.
Whey Isolate is expensive and it's tough to find a good deal on it. Nutrabio makes theirs fresh and their prices are lower, but I'm sure there are other Isolate suppliers out there.
The reason why you might want to use Isolate is it has more pure protein per serving than Concentrate. Isolate can give you up to 99% pure protein and Concentrate is somewhere in the 70-85% range.
Isolate also seems to have an immune boosting effect over concentrate and helps raise glutathione levels.
So you're getting/absorbing more protein and you're getting the immune boosting properties.
