I have been suffering from almost cramp like/strain symptoms in both my calves for a few months now and it isn't even necessarily from any physical activity.
I start to get pain in either one of my calves or both even when I am doing something as sedentary as studying.

I have gotten a basic blood test done about 2 months ago and my doctor said that everything was alright but I do not put to much trust into what my doctor says.

AN observation that I have made is that my calves fell much worse if I have eaten a diet high in sugar
Do you have any idea what could be causing this or what can treat this?

Thank You

hopeful

Hopeful - It might be uric acid possibly. A good test would be to try buying either Tart Cherry Extract or celery seed extract (3-n-butylphthalide). Either of these help clear out uric acid.

thanks CS

Which do you recommend that I take?
The reviews for the cherry extract seems to mention it helping joint and muscle pain, while a few reviewers for the celery one mention it helping with blood sugar levels also.

My calves are always most tense/strained after my body has an influx of sugar

Also, are these something I should take for a period of time or continuously

hopeful - It's a cheap way to find out the cause. If either of these take about the pain or prevent the cramping it would an indication of uric acid.

If it works, you could continue to take them during times of eating certain foods. High Fructose corn syrup and vegetable also raise uric acid levels.
