Isn't there anything that can be done for immediate cough relief?

Coughing when one is sick is perhaps one of the most annoying things one can ever experience. Difficulty breathing and an uncontrollable cough and sore throat.

As someone who has tried many supplements and herbs, that has a lot of faith in them, too much perhaps, it is disappointing that the sore throat and the coughing continues.

Usually when reading up on benefits of natural herbs, supplements etc it really inspires me to start using the supplement ASAP with great expectations. Echinacea, olive leaf extract, propolis, AHCC, immune enchancing supplements with mushroom complexes and many vitamins as well. However, a week and still the coughing and the sore throat continues. It does sometimes feel like even though it has benefits, it is on such as small scale or taking such a long time, that the only thing left for me to do is just wait for time to do the healing.

What can I take in the morning that can make the sore throat and coughing go away by the evening? Or at least by the next day and not suffer for a whole other week.

Vitamin C to bowel tolerance, MSM and NAC are mine suggestions.

Cut up red onions. Put in a deep tray and cover with good quality organic honey. If you can afford it use manuka honey or just really good honey should suffice. Cover mixture with plastic and leave overnight for the two ingredients to fuse. Next day drink a couple of tablespoons of the mixture through the day. Surprisingly it tastes quite nice. And also do lots of warm water salt gargles. It should work and keep doing it till cough goes away.
