any vitamins that improve hearing?

There are natural reasons why our hearing goes as we age. But are there any vitamins or foods/herbs that may help? Probably not but just curious.

For preventive hear-loss measures Vitamin B3 works well, I recommend non-flush version called Niancinamide. B3 increases SIRT3, as does Resveratrol. Don't overdo Resveratrol, you should aim for 100-200 mg daily.

Rationale:

Thanks for the replies. It's not for me but for my mom. She in her 80's and it's obvious that with age everything goes. The trouble is she doesn't like hearing aids. So was just wondering if certain foods or herbs might help. Might get her to try the vit 3.

gingko is good for tinnitis, and tinnitis(ringing in ears) is likely a contributing factor for hear loss in aging.

At that age it may be a drop in aldosterone levels, this affects the ability to hear.

Or, it maybe a decline in IGF-1, which could also effect hearing.

Would suggest she go on zinc and hope for the best. To look into the first, would need to test for aldosterone.
