I found myself doing something similar after every sauna session in a cold shower at the gym (although not for 10 mins maybe more more like 1-2) and feel it has some benefit also feels really good to let the cold water jet under my arms (armpits) and my upper back and head after sweating and doing yoga poses in dry sauna. Some kind of re-invigorating feeling. Prague did write about this indeed.

Edit-did some reading. Now I understand the intention is not to make the body cold rather the opposite while cooling only the groin area. What kind of results did you have JDP?
