starting from the beginning
Hi everyone....I posted on this site a few months ago. My hair has been thinning since I was about 20 years old. And i tried a few products like saw palmetto and Provillus....but I could never stick to my regimen. Now I am 23 about to be 24 and wondering what supplements should I get started on for a beginner on thinning hair on the top, back and receding hairline. If not supplements what foods should I eat to get lipioc acid or other vitamins like bioton, nettle, etc thank you all very much if any feedback. And just in case if I do have candida what shortcuts can I take to eliminate that and get healthy bacteria back in my gut

Hairbeback - Take a look at my site, hopefully it will answer some of these questions:
www.Immortalhair.org
Saw Palmetto & products like Provillus are not too effective.
Three primarily factors should be addressed to at least maintain hair:
Inflammation
Free-radicals (oxidative stress)
Inhibiting Proteins/enzymes triggered from DHT (TGF-beta/MMP-9).

Re: starting from the beginning
Hairbeback - If you were to eat a lot of curry (turmeric) even though it is not as potent as say Life Extension's version just by eating it very frequently--acording to studies the anti-inflammatory effect will gradually improve.
If you're on a budget the best thing is to avoid some of the foods that cause a problem, such as refined grains, starches, sugars, pastas, noodles, pasteurized milk and alcohol.
I certainly cheap here and there, but the supplements make the cheating much more possible. So you can really cut some corners just by avoiding some of the above foods.
As far as the rest of the supplements, unfortunately there isn't really a food substitute. Maybe another one would be red wine instead of Resveratrol.
