Infection in my finger
My index finger is hurting like crazy. Its semi puffy and even hurts to type. I bite my nails a lot and I think it got infected somehow.
I can't even stretch it out completely. I have now had it for 3 days.
Someone told me to put tree tree oil on it. That has done nothing?

Re: Infection in my finger
if its infected just around the nail (red, swollen, pussy), then topical betadine, medi pulv, or something anti bacterial. if tea tree oil didnt work u may need chemicals. ultimately though, u may need to wait til the nail grows back, because even if u clear it, the nail will re infect, if its cut too short or has sharp edges.
oral anti biotics may be a better solution until the nail grows back.
if its the whole finger, id see ur doc asap for a script.
of course it all depends on how bad it is. theres plenty of natural substances that may work. personally when i get infected fingers (next to the nail), betadine works for me, but in the past i have also taken augmentin. a salt water soak can be effective, as can be GFSE. it all depends on what bacteria u got growing.
btw u may need to drain it with a needle (not if its whole finger though)

Re: Infection in my finger
Its not the whole finger. Its only the tip.
If I have to drain with a needle that sounds absolutly fun. ''As in painful.''

Colloidal silver. Soak it for a few hours.
