Pancreatic Infection Empty Pancreatic Infection

Post  zerx Tue Apr 20, 2010 12:34 pm

I have a family member diagnosed with chronic pancreatic infection. His pancreas had a viral infection that has reduced it's function considerably. He tells me the lowest 'number' should be about 200 according to the docs while he scored about 20. He's not sure what this number is and neither do I but someone on here might know, hopefully.

I did some research and the two remedies that made most sense are aloe vera and primrose. Still, Im not sure if these are meant to reduce the pain or actually cure the infection and restore the pancreas' function. Please IH or anyone else with expertise in this area help me out. Thanks.

zerx - It might depend on age such as Antistreptolysin O titre.

Without knowing what the problem is (Pancreatitis?)

Anything pancreas related is a good idea to mega dose on Pancreatic enzymes (pancreatin)--would suggesting take lots and lots of this.

Would have to know more to to suggest anything else.

Thanks for the reply IH.

I also wish I had more info. He says the doc told him the pancreas infection could be caused by one of three things: being an alcoholic, gall stones, or a viral infection. Since he doesn't drink, and doesn't have gall stones, they concluded it was a viral infection.

Im not sure if it should be termed as pancreatitis but it is an inflammation of the pancreas. He already gets some digestive enzymes from the docs and I will make sure that he gets pancreatin. But he would like to cure this instead of taking digestive enzymes for life.

I need to correct something. As far as I know it's an infection not inflammation of the pancreas like I wrote in my reply. It might very well be inflamed as well but I don't know that.

zerx - Most infections can be wiped out with IV-C (ascorbic acid). If a clinic that administers IV-C is not available, then would suggest they take a few packets of Lypo-spheric vitamin C until the infection goes away.

IH the thing is the docs are saying that if the pancreas' enzyme production falls to a certain level, it's done and forget about it. That's what they told him. As he told me, the docs said that normal range is about 400 with a low of about 200.

According to them, if the number gets any lower than the 200 the pancreas is unsavable. So Im hoping that is just conventional medicine's version and that it can be saved using natural means and not have to take enzymes for life.

zerx - I would suggest a very high amount of Pancreatin taken at 20 to 30 minutes after eating. Note: Most labels on enzyme products say to take before the meal (this is not true).

During any pancreatic problem, a high intake of enzymes (pancreatin) is very important to save the pancreas. I would take 10 to 30 times the normal dose in these cases.

Hopefully with IV-C and/or Lypo-Spheric C along with very high dose pancreatin enzymes, the pancreas can recover.

To even further improve the odds of recovery, would suggest IV-Lipoic acid (this is not available in most clinics), so oral lipoic acid can also be used.

The take away here is that convential doctors know only about managing degeneration, very little about regeneration.

CS thanks for all your help!

I would suggest the IV-C LS-C Pancreatin therapy to him. Do you know of any website that has more info on natural remedies of pancreas infection where I might find some success stories?

I have finally decided, with the help of your advice, to order supplements for my uncle. Please help me pick which is best of the following supplements and maybe suggest some others.

Country Life Super Strength Pancreatin 100 tabs: is this the best and is it made of porcine pancreatin

Cysteine: which type of cysteine might be most helpful for pancreatitis

Vitamin C: again buffered or not; can you suggest a good vit c powder

Lipoic Acid: which type is best

And finally, you said high-dose pancreatin intake will regenerate the pancreas. Do you have numbers that should be taken daily. Like how many of the Country Life tabs will suffice?

zerx - That brand looks fine. Keep in the mind that the doses should be quite large, so you might find other brands with a larger quantity.

To give you can idea of how pancreatin is used therapeutically, a Dr. Nickolas Gonzalez who specializes in Pancreatic cancer uses 25 to 40 grams (or more). Of course this isn't pancreatic cancer, nevertheless a large supply should be used. I would suggest using at least several grams per day (taken after meals).

Regarding Cysteine, you're best off using NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine).

Would recommend using Lypo-Spheric Vitamin C, or if you make your own, use regular plain ascorbic acid (unless they are sensitive, then you can use the buffered form).

Would recommend using Stabilized R-Lipoic acid. Although it is also okay to use larger doses of regular alpha lipoic acid.

Pancreatic Infection Empty Re: Pancreatic Infection

Regarding the pancreas... I ran the RIFE script suggested by NewPort at the Curezone forums for pancreatic flukes... I ran it according to the protocol suggested, used bromelain as that is supposed to help clear the ducts and today there was rock in my stool! Looked like a big calcium rock. Chalky white and porous. almost an inch long and a centimeter or more in diameter. I was shocked. And it was funny bc I also woke up this morning (prior to this) with a ton of energy. I'm starting to believe more stronlgy in RIFE as being a possible huge help for me.
