Whats the deal with colloidal silver?
I've been drinking colloidal silver for maybe 20 years. I only drink it when i'm sick or feel like i have an infection. However over the years i've probably drank a few liters of the stuff. I've read some articles lately about colloidal silver that got me worried. It is a metal after all. Is it save to drink every now and then or have i damaged my body?

Do you think it worked for you? You can buy it in health stores and pharmacies so it probably is pretty safe. As long as you don't turn into a smurf. Some people have turned blue from overdoing it (argyria) but its harmless. Still...

Only the crude forms of this can cause the "blue effect" however it can disrupt (regardless of the type) an important enzyme for mitigating inflammation.

Would you recommend it as an alternative to antibiotics during an infection or something? Or are there better alternatives like oregano oil?

There's quite a long list of alternatives, however some of these do similar things. Ultimately if colloidal silver is taken just occasionally as needed, no problem. Vitamin C as ascorbic acid would be another alternative but same result if used continuously instead of occasionally.
