help me get healthy(er)?
there's a lot of info on this site, some i agree with more than others. but i also don't know much. i'm doing nothing internally or health wise to really help my hair, but i am getting regrowth. so what i want to know now is (from the active members) is, what should i be eating/supplementing? i worry about my health and want to start eating better. i feel like i'm pretty healthy but i eat garbage. i dunno what's good for fighting cancer things like that. i do have a vitamin D deficiency and i supplement for that. thanks for reading

drink 3l+/day and try to eat RAW whatever you can, as much green vegetables as possible, some fruits, muchrooms, nuts or seeds for protein not salted not roasted (almonds + pumpkin seeds) everyday..
focus on alkaline foods but have fish, chicken or even meat every few days.
some magic foods:
celery
pineapple
beet juice
mushrooms
almonds
avocado
supplements not needed, but if you have to fish oil, zinc, vitamins a-z.

only lots of pure green vegetables + water for few days with olive oil but no or almost no vinegar, throw in some garlic or onions if you like.

Diet is very individual. I would *never* prescribe the same diet for every person.

There's ways to do it with or without lab testing. On a basic level there is metabolic testing questionnaires.
Lab testing can confirm it. To oversimplify it, there's two branches of the AIS (autonomic nervous system).
Towards the sympathetic branch (those leaning on that end) will oxide their carbohydrates slower than those on the parasympathetic branch, who are faster oxidizers, they need a heavier load of protein/fat and less carbs.
Depending on how the triglycerides, glucose and other measures are affected, it will confirm the type of foods one can handle. Beyond that, there are some other factors.

CS what is the best way to gauge blood sugar without labs?
Diet is tough. Figuring out the best foods takes time especially when in a degenerative state. I'm putting so much effort into diet with meh results. Even with a diet journal it seems difficult to relate foods with symptoms, seems like a neverending journey.
here's some more info not sure if CS agrees but I fit into both categories !

There's also a mixed type. So, it's in-between the fast and the slow.
This questionnaire might help:
