Supplement/Antioxidant dependency
People now are taking more antioxidants (or have the ability to do so) than in the past. Do you think anyone can develop a type of dependecy to it. Are there any negative effects linked to prolonged use of such strong antioxidants such as ecklonia cava and astaxanthin resveratrol/curcumin?
These antioxidants are such life hacks, it's amazing.

Re: Supplement/Antioxidant dependency
Anyone have any thoughts on this? The ability to take unnatural amounts of antioxidants/supplements from different areas of the world is quite a marvel (given they're high quality) and the things we can achieve health wise are boundless. However, if one were to stop these supplement cold turkey, do you think their bodies would be stronger or weaker in dealing with environmental hazards?
I personally think it could help the body even after long term use due to the optimized levels of bodily functions and raising of glutathione levels.

Re: Supplement/Antioxidant dependency
Today, the exposure to over 100,000 chemicals (toxic substances) makes taking antioxidants virtually more of a must have for good health.
I've been on a heavy diet of antioxidants since 2004. I joke to people that I'm aiming for 140 +.
So far, those antioxidant pioneers who have taken heroic doses of the less impressive variety have lived very long lives, (90's and 100's).
Much more is understood today about what is needed and what isn't.
Ecklonia cava isn't just an antioxidant, and many of the others are not only as well.
They provide unique functions. For example, it helps reduce the build up of fibrin, clotting factors, naturally reduces angiotensin, inflammatory enzymes, modulates collagen enzymes, and much more.
This translates to better appearance into advanced age and feeling better.
