Progesterone Empty Progesterone

Post  averagejoe001 Fri Aug 23, 2013 7:18 am

Hi all

I have a question about the use of progesterone but am worried about possible side effects. I've not had hormonal blood work done, but find myself fairly normal health wise:

5'7", 130 lbs
no man boobs
very athletic build, hardly any fat, def. no belly
no libido issues

I do have diffused thinning thats minitiarised a long way now. I don't lose much if any, but it won't grow back either it seems. I've not used Fin / Dut before but have tried Minox. I recently (2-3 mths) started IM's regimen minus a couple things. I do take
Ecklonia Cava
Antioxidant boost
Krill
Iosol
barley Grass
Ashwanganda
Maca
Jarrow Tocotrienol (1 per day)
Morningstar Mineral Fulvic Acid

Based on other posts here, it seems prolactin and progesterone could contribute -so  I wanted to add Mucuna and Progesterone to the regimen. These however do come with some risks I gather. Hair loss is not good, but I have a lot to be grateful for, so I don't wanna mess everything else up.

So my questions are:
- Will progesterone cause any unwanted side effects?
- Will mucuna help or cause any unwanted side effects?

Thanks

Have you even researched what specifically to your case is causing your MPB or you're just blindly taking what's on the first page? How do you even know that you are low on progesterone?

I've not done any hormonal bloodwork no.. The regular bloodwork seems ok, so I'm at a loss to be honest

My blood work was okay too but I'm definitely not okay. Do you have any health conditions no matter how minor? Do this test for some time and post back the results: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Broda_Otto_Barnes#Hypothyroidism_perspective

vitamin b6 plays a role in prolactin levels, and progesterone, and estrogen

the problem is people of european origin can sometimes lack a gene that converts it to p5p, causing low b6

the solution is to take the active p5p form of b6

also, this website is very useful
