Drinkable recommendations Empty Drinkable recommendations

I've been a pasteurized milk addict all my life, quiting wasn't easy and I'm still having nightmares about how mad cows are chasing me around the neighborhood Suspect
Despite this I've hadn't had any fallbacks except for some pancakes. I just love pancakes.

What can I drink? Now it's mostly water and soft drinks. I need good healthy alternatives, water just isn't dynamic enough No

I have a state of the art blender (at least according to the commercial) so I have no problemas mixing fruits and vegs together.

Tea, Protein shakes, sparkling fruit beverages (try to get 100% juice and use in moderation), vegetable juices.

3 carrots, a large apple, and half a lemon. Add water if you like.

Its an old Chinese remedy for thinning hair. Like many juices it does give the skin a nice glow, and I suspect it probably helps somewhere along the line.

I think it tastes great in the morning before breakfast.

That's very interesting Lux, I'm going to have to try that after I get my new blender.

Oh my! Blending is just fab for a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes it seems like a lot of work, but when you get slicing and dicing its just relaxing. The sights, sounds, smells and tastes seem to make it a natural health stimulant.

And the best thing: there are soooo many utterly sumptuous and seemingly naughty combinations that just make you look and feel better. We get a whole bunch of weird fruit and veg here in Hong Kong. I blend with Chinese leaf, durian fruit, and long ngan (dragon eyes) sometimes.

I hypothesize that it also increases the placebo/confidence effect of supplements. If you drink good stuff down with juice, it gets associated with stuff that tastes healthy and beneficial.

I juice and blend on most days, especially after exercise, and am now looking for better machinery to support my growing education in yummy plants.

Totally recommended!

Cheers

What about raw milk? We have a health food store near by that sells raw milk and they pay you when you bring the bottles back. Should I still avoid raw milk on the candida diet because it has some sugar, or would it be ok. I know that you are supposed to avoid dairy, but what about raw milk?

Raw Milk is great for you and due to the amount of good bacteria in it, I'd imagine it'd be very beneficial in your fight against Candida. Jealous that you even have it available...

Regarding the blending -- a few months ago I purchased a state of the art Blendtec blender with a powerful motor and high quality blade. The thing rocks! I used to not get nearly enough veggies in my diet, especially the green leafy kinds like kale, collards, etc, which are near perfect foods in my opinion. Now with my new blender I just blend as much of these vegetables together as possible and drink up and it has made a big improvement in overall health I think. You'll probably have to add a banana or more, until it tastes ok. The high-tech blender is a must though since the enzymes and other beneficial compounds are deep within the vegetables fibrous walls and need to be blended at high powers to break down those walls and get into the system.

if you get a chance try some raw aloe, it must be the right kind (edible), I think you will be pleasently surprised. Amazing stuff. Will cure the worse hang over, which says a lot.

on a lesser note, celery is beter than decent. and you may have heard the myth about how it will sweeten your own juice.

Aloe Juice... The one I use is great. It helps me feel good right away. It also helps with inflammation.

Its funny I've not tried aloe yet, but its now been placed higher on the list:)

I had a mango, stawberry, peach smoothie this morning, with added lai chi. Very healthy, but I had to brush my teeth afterwards:). Sooo sweet!
