Cookbook Recommendations? Empty Cookbook Recommendations?

Post  Paradox Mon Jul 28, 2008 10:32 pm

I went to the bookstore today, and after almost two hours of sorting through cookbooks I left empty-handed and frustrated. I was looking at 500 Low Carb Recipes, and I think it was sponsored by Splenda. I am doing the candida cleanse thing right now, but i also would like recipes/foods that I can eat afterwards to change my habits. I just have no idea (outside of a small handful of foods) what I can buy at the grocery store. I'm not even used to cooking too much (outside of eggs, and BBQ), but I need to start if I want to get/stay healthy. Do you guys have any suggestions on cookbooks with specific directions as opposed to general nutrition books?

This site is a little wacky with all the religious stuff, but I've found it to be a pretty good resource. I think it just reafirms a lot of my views on food so that's why I like it Razz

That should give you a very good idea on what to eat.

Bookstores are notorious for their poor selection. I recommend using amazon and ordering the book online.
