Just bought some aloe gel 99% organic. Have some questions about the 1% ingredients.
Hey guys, so the 1% left is potassium sorbate (mold inhibitor), citric acid, and carageenan (thickener).
Are these ingredients safe for the hair?
Thanks!

You are using a worthless form of aloe vera gel... The only bioactive form of aloe vera gel comes straight from the plant.
The fact that they are using carageen means that this is a low quality highly refined aloe vera gel without any vitamins or active enzymes... you wasted your money

I c, thanks ferox.
What about aubreays aloe vera gel? It is 99% and only has a grapefuit seed extract, A,C,E added to it as a natural preservative.
That seems legit to me: http://www.makeupalley.com/product/showreview.asp?itemid=52235
I have tried using the plant and its very time consuming, kind of a hassle.. Especially when trying to use it over the whole head..

hmm, even if its 99% organic ? That seems a little hardcore to say 99% is not beneficial at all..
Any other opinions on this?

Re: Just bought some aloe gel 99% organic. Have some questions about the 1% ingredients.
aloe is always beneficial by itself other ingredients not sure might need to draw your own conclusion carageenan is extracted from red seaweed it's found in ice cream, nut milks etc, citric acid is lots of stuff, potassium sorbate might be the most questionable
