Prominent temple vein
Anyone else have a prominent vein in the spot where the hair is balding?
My temples are balding, and the left side is the worst, and I noticed at my "new hairline" at the side a prominent vein is running parallel with it.
Is this a sign of poor circulation? Or does everyone have it and I'm only noticing because the hair was covering it up before?

Re: Prominent temple vein
It's specifically vitamin K2 for veins (not vitmain k1).
Do you sleep on your side where the prominent vein is on your temple?
One of vitamin K's primary actions in the body is the carboxylation (activation) of matrix GLA protein (MGP). Critical to maintaining the health of the entire cardiovascular system, MGP is known to prevent calcification in the arteries. Now, new research shows vitamin K-activated MGP is also needed to prevent the excessive proliferation and mineralization of muscle cells in the walls of the veins that causes varicose veins. (Cario-Toumaniantz C, Boularan C, Schurgers L, et al. J Vasc Res. 2007)
Researchers compared healthy veins from 36 male patients (ranging in age from 30 to 83) with varicose veins from 50 male patients (age range 40 to 81). High levels of uncarboxylated (inactive) MGP and increased calcification were seen only in the varicose veins. When vitamin K was added to cultures of small muscle cells from the varicose veins, MGP was activated, stopping the mineralization process.

I've always been a right-side sleeper, I started sleeping on my left side because my face is so asymmetrical, but the balding is on my left side

Re: Prominent temple vein
I too have these very prominent temple veins on both sides. After brushing the scalp or doing exercise they are literally bulging out of my head!
A lot of the veins on my body generally are very visible so I'd be interested in hearing about whether this is a problem or lack of k2. I've been taking decalcify twice a dat amongst other supplements from the IH regimen.
