Hey everyone, so I have been using hydrocortisone (in the form of 1% HC scalpicin) and miconazole nitrate for help on my hairline for the past 7-8 months. I have been using both together consistenyl everyday for this time period. I definitely feel it is helping to stengthen the hairline.

Now to my question. Just about a week ago, I started noticing some weird sensations in and around the area of my heart. Maybe some palpitations.

I have ruled out Mico as the cause by having days where I only apply it and have no reaction.

It might be gastro intestinal or it might be heart related, its hard to say as pains/sensations in that area are all interacting with eachother. I have done some research and have only found HC as having significant side effects when taken orally and I can rarely find anything about the heart, what to speak of gastro related sides. HC can lower potassium (which effects the heart) in high amounts orally, but a 1% topical? Here is a link in regards to HC sides:

http://www.chemocare.com/bio/cortisone.asp

Dont see anything about the heart in there, even in the "severe sides" section..

I was wondering if any one could help me solve this puzzle? I would not like to give up something that is helping me. I am not looking for general comments like " drugs are bad used long term, its throwing off your chemistry", but exact answers related to the mechanism of HC.

Thanks in advance!
