How to not receieve any topic notifications in email

Is there a way to recieve no topic notices via email? Do I have to turn them each off individually in the profile settings?
Seems there should just be an option to not recieve any notifications?

In the top bar where it says Home, Faq, etc, go to Profile, then preferences, you should find what you're looking for there.

or go to profile - preferences - set Always notify me of replies to No.
I agree it's annoying, should be off by default. You will have to go back to any topics you are currently getting mail for and disable it manually.
