Question about HLAF/Ray Peat diet
Hi guys!
I just had a a few quick questions about the whole Ray Peat / Danny Roddy diet. I've been on it for awhile now and have been feeling pretty good overall. I haven't had any regrowth yet but my hair stopped falling out which is wonderful.
1. Coffee is listed on the diet. Is decaf okay? Also, I noticed that coffee is supposedly high in PUFAs. If this is the case, why is it recommended by Peat? I thought PUFAs were all nonos on this diet?
2. Did any of you have any significant regrowth on this diet?
3. Ripe papayas, yes or no?
Thanks!

Re: Question about HLAF/Ray Peat diet
1. Decaf probably okay although Peat believe caffeine has many health benefits. According to http://nutritiondata.self.com 100g instant coffee has 0.2g PUFA per 100g coffee. You're most likely going to be drinking <10g a day, no problems.
3. Not a clue. A quote of Danny Roddys I saved of acceptable fruits is this,
"Orange, cherimoya, longan, lychee, grapes, pawpaw, sapote, Plums, prunes, tangerines, dates, cherries, well ripened watermelons, and apple sauce."
