Yes, provided there is no iron contained in it.

I know iron/excess iron is bad but why would it be a problem with humifulvate?

Re: Humifulvate Question
tooyoung - I mean a mineral supplement in general. In regards to humifulvate, the fulvic acid is a complex of minerals, which metabolizes differently than a standard non-complexed iron supplement.

I take dessicated liver. So, you're saying no break is required?

Dessicated liver is a great source of minerals, however there is a real concern with the iron in there.
Brewer's yeast or other mineral source would be safer. You might consider occasional blood donation
to eradicate some of the iron.
In a recent study, showed nearly a 90% reduction in heart attack with blood donation.

Re: Humifulvate Question
CS - I'm taking the Morningstar, as you know. I see it has iron it it?
Should I be concerned - I take about 4 - 6 a day of the Morningstar minerals.
Cheers, M

Re: Humifulvate Question
The ability of the standardised HFC to restore iron levels and improve haematological parameters has been documented. Serum iron levels improved in fourteen adult volunteers given oral doses of HFC during a three-week period . Serum ferritin levels approached the desired physiological range within three weeks. It was reported that for subjects with low iron values at the beginning of the study, their iron levels increased to within the desired range for iron status; conversely, those subjects who began the study with elevated iron status, their iron levels decreased to within the desired physiological range. This finding demonstrated that HFC could facilitate homeostasis of iron status in humans.
Protocatechuic acid (a phenolic monomer of HFC) can form Fe+2-polyphenol complexes when excess amounts of iron are available. This occurs so that excess iron (Fe+2) cannot react with oxygen molecules and form reactive oxygen species . This provide further support for the metal chelating activity of HFC and implies that it has the ability to normalise iron levels so that excessive oxidation does not occur in the presence of higher than usual amount of iron.

Bodybuilding and supplement pioneers Jack Lalanne and Vince Gironda were known to take up to 100 dessicated liver tablets per day and both lived into their 90s

Some period ago I was suggesting the use of desiccated liver tablets. However, there is one problem. Unless one is quite physically active (and sweats regularly, such as those two health pioneers you mentioned), the iron can contribute to oxidative stress.
I had noticed this effect, an effect noticed on the scalp during inactive periods (food for thought). Otherwise, I think it's a fantastic source of minerals.
