wisdom tooth removal related oral inflammation issues

I am planning to get one of my wisdom tooth(which seems to be sitting on its side and frequently results in food particles getting stuck b/n that tooth and the very molar) extracted in the near future. So, given that I have previously read enough users comment about oral inflammation and their long term effects related to dental work(mostly related to mercury fillings, root canal et al.,), I was wondering if anybody out there has any experiences to share with regard to wisdom tooth extraction and its thereof effects on hair!

If you get any teeth extract, especially wisdom teeth, the periodontal ligament should be completely removed and cleaned thoroughly. Most dentists do not do this, so it must be requested. If it is not removed, it can potentially result in some issues in the future.

CS, for future reference, do you recommend people leave in their wisdom teeth or take them out?

Leave them in when possible. Of course, there will be times when a tooth is already infected and it is in a position where removing it would be the best option. Quite often dentists present the supposition that the remaining teeth 'should' be removed on the account that they will shift or cause a problem. Usually ignoring their advice in such circumstances is best.

When in doubt seek a second opinion.

I had 3 of my Wisdom teeth removed about 4 years ago. I assume the ligament was not removed. I had some infection afterwards, and swelling in my face for a long time. My hair may have worsened a little at that point, but it had already been bad for a while and I had gotten it under control to a small extent. What do you suggest I or anyone else in this situation do at this point? Oil pulling should help if done routinely I would think, but are there any more permanent treatments?

Responding to this old thread. If you have infected wisdom teeth, is it possible to cure the infection using treatments like baking soda and oil pulling? If possible I want to avoid surgery to have the wisdom teeth removed.

My wisdom teeth have been impacted for several years, and of-and-on there have been symptoms of wisdom tooth infection. There's a constant feeling of pain and fullness in the sinuses and facial swelling that, somehow, I think are sourced from infection of the wisdom teeth.

Just realized that ignoring the symptoms might not be a good idea. Several years ago I had a stricter regimen/diet and less stress, so my immune system might have done a better job "fighting back" the infection. Wondering if some daily routine should be adopted because the symptoms are actually more noticeable now.

Interesting study about the systemic impact of localized inflammation in the gums. This topic has been discussed extensively on this forum, but I think it is a good reminder of the importance of oral health.

CS, Calcium Therapy seems to regenerate bone after a year of using it according to the x-rays. Is it possible that this is the best current solution to gum infections, maybe second to ozone therapy or JDP's rife methods? If so, that would be incredible considering the low price.
