Renokin - pls suggest
I have thinning on top of my head..Doctor's still couldn't determine the reason..
Completed my blood work and results are normal.
Planning to go for Scalp biopsy on first week of April.
I met one dermatologist and he suggested that i use Renokin for 3 months.
Please let me know if it is worth it.
1) Does shedding gets controlled
2) Thinning hairs becomes thick
3) Does it grow new hair
Please let me know..
Thanks

Re: Renokin - pls suggest
I've used Renokin. Didn't use it a lot because I wasn't consistent enough.
I think it did reduce shedding a little bit. I'm not sure if it regrew any hair. May 1 or 2 vellus hairs, not sure if it was my imagination though.
My hair did feel better immediately after applying it. Regular and consistent application would probably bring better results.
In short, I remember, I wanted to put this on before leaving the house. Would help me with a decent comb. And I think it definitely helps with the inflammation.

Thanks Mike..
I tried Rogaine and i immediately developed bald spots(that were not there before).
I don't want to experiment now as i need to attend couple of functions this month.
Also, the doctor in india suggested that he prefers women not to use topical that has "Minoxidil" in it.
He suggested that i use Renokin for 3 months to get results.
I have lot of thin hair..I will be happy if those think hair gets back to normal(thick).
Did it atleast make your hair thick?

When you say better..did it improve thickness of your hair?.

my main objective is stop/reduce shedding and improve the thickness of thin hair..
Please let me know.

Re: Renokin - pls suggest
Hey raji.
I bought renokin because the science behind it is really good, and one of the rare topicals said to induce progenitor cells and cause hair growth.
I didn't follow any strict application regimen and didn't really count to see if my shedding reduced. To notice this I would normally have to run my hand rigorously through my hair over the sink to see how much would fall, which I didn't do. But in the shower, I do remember less shedding and my hair kinda felt thicker.
For women, I think hair loss is very different. You may obtain better results than me and much faster. I personally agree with your doctors opinion not to use minoxidil. Renokin doesn't have any minoxidil in it.
Other topicals you can consider are:
Spectral F7 Astressin-b. Based on the study that hair loss is stress related.
Emu Oil - Reduces inflammation
Fabao101 - Sold at most TCM stores, My hair would feel much better and durable after applying this.
The Alpecin Caffeine Shampoo is also good, and easily found in most pharmacies (depending on where you live).
I suggest you take a good multivitamin and also add supplements to your regimen. There are a lot of vitamins and herbs useful for hair loss. One that I like is "Hair Loss Intervention" by Nanogen since it bundles together the best of the ingredients into one tablet. You can check http://www.nanogen.co.uk/intervention-female-hair-loss-supplement.html
Cheers

So far the feedback on RejuvePlex has been good. The topical products others mentioned have not been too amazing, although the product Astressin-B Topical Solution is interesting, although still waiting on how well it works in regards to feedback.

Re: Renokin - pls suggest
I started using Renokin and i no longer see Miniaturization hairs.
But, ferritin dropped from 44 to 24 within 3 months.
Renokin uses "SAW PALMETTO" and this is known to reduce iron absorption.
But, does topical solution reduces ferritin this much?
I am confused as i believe it is working for me..At the same time, I don't want to be anemic.
Please suggest.
