MCT oil questions Empty MCT oil questions

Post  Icanbeatthis Fri Feb 17, 2012 5:55 pm

Have you guys ever tried this? I have ALOT of digestive issues combined with some bad mercury levels showing up on hair analysis and my doc recommended MCT oil as a source of calories and fat.

Would it be dangerous for hair? I can't tolerate Coconut oil so MCT is the only thing that makes sense in my situation, I just don't want to hurt my hair in the process.

It should be fine right?

Anyone? I don't like to bump my own thread but I would really like to know if this is safe to take.

Coconut oil contains about 65% MCTs, and there are a few different types of MCT, but I'm guessing the MCT oil you are taking is capric acid and caprylic acid, either extracted from coconut oil or palm oil. I've never read anything associating MCTs with hair loss.
