How did YOU lose your hair?
I will talk about different things that affected my health positively and negatively over the years,
maybe sharing this will bring some things to light as to why and how some of us lost our hair.
Here is mine:
As a kid.....
I ate red meat almost every day, ate fatty foods, drank soda and did not watch what I ate.
I also had allergies for a while but they were treated.
As a teenager.....
Around 13 I stopped eating red meat completly while still eating chicken, fish, turkey, etc.
I didnt watch what I ate at all, I ate greasy food, lots of sweets and whatever I found for lunch or dinner.
I didnt exercise at all.
I got mercury tooth fillings.
Around 18....
Seasonal allergies began, I was sick with this often.
I started taking lots of prescription pills from my doctors, I didnt know what to do about my seasonal allergies. Alot of antibiotics.
I also began watching my nutrition a bit, started exercising, got in shape.
Early 20s - It begins.....
I began losing my hair around my early 20s, it was noticeable.
I still had allergies, still taking prescription pills during all these years.
Mid 20s......
Stopped working out, stopped watching my healthy nutrition, I was not in shape anymore either.
Still allergies, have gotten worst over the years.
Poor sleep.
Late 20s....
Took care of my allergies through nutrition and acupunture.
Hair loss never stopped, it only got worst.
Poor sleep patterns.
Well.....I dont know for sure what causes male pattern baldness but who knows, just throwing this out in the open.

Don't think you can get regrowth in a city, IMHO

It just started falling out rapidly when I turned 18. I remember my head itching like crazy during that time on occasion, I didn't know enough about anti-inflammatory products to properly treat it then.

I have the itch too - try eating massively alkaline, use enzymes and get Gaunitz' topical...
It makes sense what happened at 18 given the food and the amalgam...
Hang in there, move to & live in the ocean...

Running mobilizes the toxins - but supplementing with chelation (eg Immune boost 77) will tend to minimize this, or avoid this side effect.

Re: How did YOU lose your hair?
How did I start to lose hair? I wish I knew. For background, I found this site in desperation and made my first blind request post back in April of this year. I’ve learned a considerable amount since that time, but although I haven’t regrown any hair, I think I’ve slowed the loss through simple dietary changes.
What confused me about my hair loss was that I didn’t lose a hair until a few years ago, near my mid-40s. I live in a very humid/mold rich part of South America and assume that plays a role. I have also confirmed hypothyroid issues, which I don't think is anything new, but it exasperated my hair loss when combined with other environmental factors.
I’m trying a couple of different methods to attempt regrowth and will update if and when I see some success.
Regarding running, the start of my loss coincided with reducing my mileage. I went from a minimum of 15 k a day, 6 days a week, all through my 20s and 30s, to about 10 k, three days a week.

Re: How did YOU lose your hair?
A mold exposure, like any unwanted pathogen, can cause systematic problems that overload the body and to conserve resources the body just does not need hair to survive - so out it goes...
In your situation I would check mold symptoms and internal fungal infections... FYI - running would also oxygenate the body depriving the fungus.
Try drinking FIJI water very high ph - alkaline, with an organic lemon squeezed into it - even more alkaline and avoid all sugars, esp alcohol.
