I have a friend that recently underwent a kidney transplant. Prior to his operation, he had one kidney working at 5% of what it should be. He had a thick full head of hair. He was beginning to experience mental problems and such because his blood wasnt being filtered properly. The surgery was a huge success and hes basically back to normal before the kidney issues years and years ago. He had lost a lot of weight and hes gained it all back. However, his hair has been thinning all over his head. It looks like he has lost 50% of his density. Is this shock loss maybe?

Actually that might be a side effect of the medications to prevent organ rejection.
