Do you eat canned foods like tomato, coconut or other food in a can?

If you do try check inside the can if there is plastic wrapping! Maybe plastic that spills
into food is the cause for mpb and prostate as welll as breast cancers.

Yes, I do eat canned food occasionally.

According to Dr. Mercola, processed canned food containing veggies and fruits could potentially release molecules that could trigger auto-immune diseases (especially MS) since these molecules, naturally occurring in veggies and fruits, looses it's bound to the pectin, making them hazardous.
No clue if this is true, just wanted to mention it.

How would you explain MPB before plastic?

MPB did not exist as we know it today, before plastic! Just 50 years ago no men under the age of 50 was balding unless they had a chronic illness. Some time ago I saw a tv documentary about second world war, and in it was a alot of young soldiers. They all had great hair.

Surely not the same as today.

I will try pull out of my diet all foods wrapped in plastic for the next weeks, and we'll see. Since WD I already pulled out ninetypercent processed foods, so it shouldnt be too hard.

You can try, but you're shooting in the dark....the probability of success is very slim

CPIO in no way am I saying your wrong or right, but found this a while ago...

DNA experts have recently discovered that male pattern hair loss is not necessarily a modern problem. The findings are born of a series of tests, on a 4,000 year old caveman. In actual fact, the detailed analysis revealed that cavemen were indeed prone to hair loss, despite common misconceptions that the condition that affects 40% of the male population, is the result of modern stresses.

Personally I believe this has been planted to down hearten people into thinking its not a western or modern problem, in hope they turn to "so called proven ways" like MINOX and FIN???

The whole article

http://www.onlineclinic.co.uk/news/dna-points-to-hair-loss-in-cavemen-2342.html

Though the man, who was found in Greenland, possessed baldness genes at his time of death, he actually had a full and healthy head of dark hair.

Assuming that this article is accurate, if anything, this supports the opposite hypothesis, that hair loss is a result of modern stresses. The guy had a predisposition for hair loss but he wasn't bald.

Crincrin, very good point.

As for modern stresses causing mpb, not likely. In Asia they have alot of stress and very
little hair loss, and very little hormone cancers as well. But if an asian moves to the west, he will start going bald or his kids will. This proves there is something environmental causing baldness.

Bh2o, yeah but bpa is not the only one. Has it benefited your hair avoiding cans and other plastics in food?

Julius Cesar was bald. And he was not ill.

When he was bald, he was older than fifty. Balding due to age happens when T goes down and aromatase goes up, in very simple terms. Balding for guys in their twenties and thirties is unnatural. Prostate and breast cancers, too early onset of puberty in girls, poor semen quality, guys in their twenties going bald. All this is connected, and the cause could be plastics leaking into food, in our developed western culture where almost every fooditem is wrapped in plastic.

Interesting.

How do we know that Caesar wasn't ill?

What about the apparent hair loss patterns occurring in the Amish community? Sure, one could mention inbreed as an explanation, but I doubt they eat canned foods and experience stress they way we do, still it's not a rare sight that Amish male youngsters shows signs of balding.

-When I say "modern stresses" I guess what I really mean is "civilized stressors".

-The Romans used lead water pipes.

-For the Amish and baldness, just google "amish mugshot".

-For Amish and autism: http://www.opposingviews.com/i/myth-amish-don-t-have-autism

IMO endocrine disruptors are a major problem, in fact they might be the biggest problem for some people. But they're everywhere (food, beds, etc.), so avoiding canned food is probably not going to cure your MPB.

I agree that avoiding canned food will not do it alone. Anyway, will report in a few weeks time.

I have not notice anything hairwise. It just gave me the reassurance that I was taking another step towards improving my endocrine system. I concur with both of you, it is just a small step in the right direction, but there are many other factors.

Good luck, let us know how your experiment works.

It's starting to seem like there's no way to restore complete health (and hair?) without moving out into the wilderness.

I'm all for the "eat your cake and have it too" philosophy of healthyfixx.....avoiding the things you can avoid, as much as possible and implementing countermeasures for the rest. That means at least continious metal chelation, for me low dose cutler.
