Never seen a balding Amish person
I live in PA so I see my fair share of Amish people. One thing I noticed, I'm pretty sure is that I never seen a balding Amish.
This might have something to do with that they eat more home grown food than processed food loaded with additives at super markets?

Very interesting subject....... Fact, there has never been a documented case of autism in the Amish community. Many people believe that is because of their anti vaccination stance and I tend to disagree.

Re: Never seen a balding Amish person
yes i think you are right.it all comes back around to diet.they grow their own food, home canning, they still eat the way all americans used to back in the 1800's and before.you have brought up another perfect example of people who live the life they should and eat the way we all should.that is if you want to be healthier.heart disease for example was virtually unknown before 1900.i live in the south and i know some people who kept this type of diet through the 20th century and were healthier than the average american today.back not too many years ago you rarely ever saw a overweight kid,now 7 or 8 out of 10 are overweight.it is the food thats causing all of this baldness, heart disease, cancer, diabetes, arthritis, and the list could go on and on.heart disease is now the number 1 killer of women and what do most women eat, well its not meat and saturated fats, its junk food and fast food.i lost my grandmother 5 years ago to heart disease, and i lost my mother in june of 2010 of heart disease so i know first hand about this.when people put their lard and butter away years ago for cooking and started using these crappy oils(canola and soy) they sealed their fate to good health and that is why there is so much disease running rampant today along with all of these prescription drugs people gobble down by the carloads

On wiki:
I would think its due to procreation in a relatively small genetic pool
Amish populations have higher incidences of particular genetic disorders, including dwarfism (Ellis-van Creveld syndrome),[64] various metabolic disorders,[65] and unusual distribution of blood-types.[66]

Lol. Well, his hair isn't great and his teeth are in pretty rough shape but he looks to be in his
70's. His overall physique looks really good for a classic ectomorph (no belly fat that I can see).
